Products geared toward AMC fans are hard to find, but like
anything else in our hobby they can be found if you look hard enough.
![]() Ramblermania! - 3D- Enterprises has a small but choice collection of Rambler and AMC merchandise, including t-shirts and license plates, for sale on their web site. Way to go, Toddd! ![]() Arthur Hu has a dazzling number of AMC models for sale at his web site, which features great pictures of pint-size AMXs (like the "Drag-On Lady" shown here), Matadors, and Gremlins. The Johnny Lightning "Drag-On-Lady" (a Super Stock 1969 AMX raced by H.L. and Shirley Shahan) is probably still widely available as you read this. Multiple versions exist (essentially the same car with different paint schemes), at a list price of $2.99, plus a higher-priced special edition model with the correct red/white/blue paint scheme. I have a couple of the third series cars, painted a really revolting hot pink. Toys-R-Us, KMart, Target, Discount Merchandise and other discount stores are good places to look. ![]() Skyline Automotive Art sells the cool AMX and SC/Rambler prints pictured here. A few of the vendors on the parts list sell some items -- American Performance Products has an especially good variety of signs, t-shirts, license plates, hat pins and key chains. Brent Havekost has a collection of Nash, Rambler, and AMC Memorabilia for sale, including VHS videos for all years 1939 thru 1971, promos, literature, dealer postcards, service manuals, and collision parts catalogs. The Franklin Mint has a nifty looking scale model of the Metropolitan for sale. And there's a market for old AMC collectibles like Matchbox cars (David Simon carries a lot of this stuff). Javlynn Sue Leair sells a terrific AMC Calendar, featuring 12 months of AMC cars in living color. The calendars feature important dates in AMC history (like February 23 -- the beginning of AMX production in 1968) and the dates of some major national meets. Javlynn Sue is a devoted AMC fan and she's does a great job with her calendars. Email Sue at javlynnsue@juno.com for more information. Some Sources for Collectibles and Literature: |
