Frustrated? Feeling alone? Here's your source for the AMC parts and info you thought you'd never find.

Collecting, restoring, racing, or even just owning AMC cars can be a difficult and sometimes lonely pursuit. Go to any 7-11 and you'll see a bunch of Chevy, Ford, and VW magazines. Pick up a copy of Hemmings or a J.C. Whitney catalog, and you'll find big sections devoted to Camaros, Corvettes, Mopars, Mustangs... Not AMC. Not Rambler. But thanks to many devoted AMC hobbyists, the parts and information you need are out there, if you know where to look. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of many AMC-List members, many of the resources you need are available on the web.

The first stop for many enthusiasts is joining one of the many AMC Clubs, including several national organizations and their respective chapters; there are also registries devoted to specific models. For lots of folks there's no better source of parts and information than car shows, while others go straight to the established commercial parts vendors who specialize in AMC. More and more AMC links are popping up on the Internet. When you need a break from the garage, check out some books about AMC, or the collectibles geared to us AMC fans.

Thanks to other AMC fans from the AMC-List and elsewhere, the AMX Files is adding technical tips and information for restoration, performance, etc. And the free EPage AMX Classifieds are a marketplace for AMC fans.

Additions and corrections to the AMX Files resource library are always welcome. Please contact me if you have material to contribute.

Happy motoring!
